The Story of Shlomi Rosenfeld
Shlomi processes life stories and narrates them in a unique style, deeply rooted in the historical fabric of Israeli and Jewish life. Each of his books navigates historical milestones along a timeline, delving into significant chapters. Chapter by chapter, page by page, with words and images that intertwine, the author follows his protagonists, pieces together the fragments of their lives, sets a historical backdrop, and crafts a compelling narrative that unfolds into a complete life story.
The creative process is a shared journey between the biographer, the subjects, and all those whose lives intersected with theirs. It's an engaging and meticulous experience, involving personal conversations, in-depth interviews, photo collections, historical research, and archival exploration. Memories are rekindled, forgotten diaries resurface, old photographs emerge, and long-hidden stories are uncovered. Written and oral testimonies accumulate, each piece contributing to a greater puzzle that ultimately forms a book, bringing these unique life stories to light.
Shlomi’s books are crafted with utmost precision and attention to every detail. The content is meticulously accurate, clear, and elegantly written, delving into the rich tapestry of Israeli and Jewish life and history.
